VBAS Valve

The valve is designed for installation in ventilation systems and is used to hermetically seal off rooms or isolate them from the outside environment. It functions as a shut-off valve with two positions—“open” and “closed”—and is not intended for regulating airflow.

SKU: ARPD0529

The valve is designed for use in ventilation systems as a shut-off device. It isolates one room from another and also allows a room to be sealed off from the outside environment.

The valve is installed in air ducts through which air flows without mechanical impurities, sticky substances, or fibrous materials. The design allows for operation in two positions—“open” and “closed.” The valve is not intended for use in regulating air flow.

  • The temperature range of the conveyed medium is from -45 °C to +40 °C.
  • The valve is made of carbon steel and has a protective powder coating in RAL 7024.

Three versions are available:

  • manually operated;
  • with a manual gear mechanism;
  • with an electric actuator equipped with a manual override.

For the manually operated valve, the installation position can be any, regardless of the duct’s orientation. On vertical air ducts, the electrically operated valve can also be installed in any position. On horizontal air ducts, the electric actuator must be located in the upper hemisphere relative to the horizontal plane, with the valve shaft positioned above the air duct axis.

During opening, the actuator rotates the disc connected to it by a shaft. At the beginning of the shaft’s rotation, when it reaches approximately 10–20°, the disc moves away from the seat in the valve body with the help of springs. As rotation continues, the disc aligns parallel to the valve passage axis and fully opens the air passage. Closure occurs in the reverse sequence.

*The temperature is specified as a design value for equipment selection.

The valve is intended for operation in accordance with DSTU EN IEC 60721-3-3:2022.
