Purpose
Plenums are intended for attaching air distribution devices (vortex diffusers, jet nozzles, or regular round diffusers) to the ductwork system in supply-exhaust ventilation or air heating.
Design and Materials
They are manufactured from galvanized steel. The connection can be both lateral and top.
The inlet spigot D1 is made for a male connection with an external diameter -3 mm from the nominal diameter. The outlet tapping D2 should be sized +3 mm to the air distributor connection diameter.
Additionally, it can be equipped with:
- A perforated sheet located diagonally inside the plenum for even distribution of the airflow across the entire plane.
- A throttle valve for regulating the supplied air volume.
- An adjustable damper from the inside (perforated blade, adjustment handle extending inside the plenum).
- A traverse (a plate from the bottom for attaching diffusers through a central screw).
- Insulation inside the plenum to reduce noise flows.
- Powder coating inside/outside according to the RAL catalog.
