The SSFS airtight plate damper is designed to enable SPP premises to be switched to the population protection mode during emergency situations. The damper provides airtight isolation of the premises from the general ventilation system or the external environment.
The SSFS is installed directly on air ducts and is used in ventilation ducts conveying air free of mechanical impurities, sticky substances, and fibrous materials.
Operating principle:
The air duct is shut off by changing the position of the disc (damper blade). The unit is operated manually by means of a handwheel. The SSFS is a shut-off device and is not intended for regulating airflow.
The damper operates in two fixed positions:
- Open — allows air to pass through;
- Closed — the air duct is hermetically sealed.
Main characteristics:
- Temperature range of the conveyed medium: from −22 °C to +40 °C.
- Material: carbon steel.
- Protective coating: powder coating in RAL 7024.
- Installation: in ventilation duct systems.
*The temperature range listed is an estimated value and is used to select the appropriate equipment.
Installation features
If an SSFS airtight damper is installed directly on the air intake, any special requirements for the mounting box must be specified at the time of ordering and additionally agreed upon with the manufacturer.
